How does the collaborations work?

If I will lock the patterns and send the .zip file to the beatmaker I'm collabing with, would he be able to edit them? How can I lock the mixer presets, so he wouldn't be able to see how I mix it and all that? And overall how does this collaborations work? Thanks for every answer.

if you do not want them to mess with your mix settings or other factors end them a wav mix-down to work against (not mp3 as there is too much info lost when it encodes to mp3)

though why you would not want to be open with your collaborator is beyond me......
