How do you use multiple effects on the MPC 1000?

Sup FP,

Does anyone know how to do this? I see that there are 20 settings where i can put two effects in and use them simultaneously, but is that it? Can I not use more than two effects, or one of the effect settings per project? What if I want to put a delay on a sample, reverb on the snare, compression on the bass, eq each individual instrument,etc,etc....Thanks in advance

sorry, but digital effects chips are kind of pricy, you can either use the multiple outs to run to seperate external effects units, or for a little bit more trouble but a lot less money you can just resample each each channel with the desired effect so that you re-record the sample with the effect applied allowing you to bounce it down and free up the effect. I think Mano even has a video tutorial on the site on how to resample with the 1000

thanks man, not the answer i was hoping for. i was afraid it was going to be that. oh well i'll try to find the resample vid. what does it have 20 different effect settings then? when u can only use 1 at a time???

i heard the sp404 got good fx...i could use that as an external effects unit right??

man... why not just mix/eq/and apply effectsin ur daw brother? I think any incoming signal should first be dry, then you can add stuff.

only time I use the effects in my mpc, is when I need to burn a draft of my song for refrence, and would like it to be mixed in the mpc as much as possible.

at that point in the 2500, I would apply eq and compression to the whole track.. and use the mpcs 2 effect sends..

so that way, i kinda have 4 effects goin at once, compression and eq on the whole track, and 2 effect sends..

meanaing, i could have reverb on send 1, and delay on send 2..

so in my effect mixer in the 2500, i could say, put all my high hats, cymbols and snares on send 1 for reverb, and delay a few of my samples on send 2.
