How Do You Send Beats To A Artist? What Uploading Site Do You Use?

To send beats to artists I was emailing them a link through divshare, but I've noticed that divshare allows you to download.
So how do others send beats to artists?
 
yea but you can only add up to what 20mb?

are they tagged all the way through? full length?
 
Yes 20mb sounds right to a degree. I just have one tag & I send snippets allowing me to upload about 10 tracks depending. If there full length and dont fit I break up the email. If I have a close relation ship Ill use dropbox.

If you need to send large files use ********* as many of these other sites are getting shutdown.
 
I use Dropbox, DropSend and YouSendIt. IMO sites like divshare, rapidsshare, megaupload (well mega is gone) but anyway sites like these are very unprofessional and some artist will NOT download from them. For me it really depends on the artist. If I mixing for a major I NEVER use regular email because it can be easily hacked. In most cases I am mixing a song that has not been released yet so I can't afford to have it leaked. I only use YouSendIt or FTP direct to their server. With YouSendIt the file can only be opened by the email address that you assign to it.

I saw some cat postin on Twitter about it..it looks like it is a facebook-like place to upload beats with blogs for beat submissions to artists. I recently signed up but it looks kinda new because I could see the site administrator's profile was created this month. They already got a couple of members tho.

Might be doin big thangs in the near future.
 
okay so it's not what the original poster was specify asking about it which is how to send his instrumentals to artists who asked for them/brought them in a secure way

Through Gmail, if im sending an artist i don't know beats, I never send more than 3-4 anyway which fit in one email. Then if they like them, I usually get a reply asking for more. Thats when ill upload a password protected zip or rar to file sharing site and send them more.
