WHASSUP YA'LL....I HARDLY BE ON THIS SH*T BUT I THOUGHT I'D GIVE IT A TRY...DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW ON THE MPC2000XL, WHEN YOU HAVE 2 SAMPLES OR SOUNDS ON A DIFFERENT PAD, HOW DO YOU NOT MAKE THEM OVERLAP WHEN CHANGING FROM ONE TO ANOTHER...I'V TAKEN THE NOTE OFF, BUT THATS NOT TOO SHARP, I WANNA BE ABLE TO PLAY ONE SOUND, BUT AS SOON AS I PRESS THE NEXT BUTTON THE LAST SOUND PLAYING CUTS OFF AS SOON AS THE NEXT BUTTON PRESSED......SOMEBODY LET ME KNOW IF YA'LL GOT AN MPC AND KNOW WHAT YA'LL TALKIN ABOUT....

use mute groups? what the f*ck is that?

nah this ain't big chris either young homie....

Where you edit your assigned notes with filter, decay, attack, etc. there's a function that allows to select "Poly", "Mono", and "note off"...the lower-right hand of that "param" screen. Press "Open Window" and you'll see the "Mute Assign" function. You can discover a LOT of the MPC's true functions with that "Open Window" button.

Funk doc, I fux wit wha u say there...i'm at my j.o. now=, but i'll try that when i get in... Anyone know anything about Triton Keyboards?

yea i know about triton keyboards
I got one hooked up to my MPC

Midiliterate...do you know how to assign on the triton soundsa that are alreadty loaded in the mpc...or would it be easier to just load those sounds on the triton and use em? if so, how do you do that?

I use the MPC as the sequencer , and trigger sounds off my triton when I need to
I also play sounds off MY MPC (using the MPC)

load the sound in to the triton(do you know how to make programs?

what you need to do is go in to sequencer mode, and select your samples you want to use
keep each track individual, and on the MCP make sure you set your settings so that you are receving the MIDI info from the right track and make sure that t is reading from the right midi input/output
for instance if you have your midi from the MPC going out of A and you want to record the 3rd track on your triton(where you have say a piano sample for example) the you would set it at 3A
on the main screen on your MPC

I'm going through this off memory because Im' not at home right now, I'll double check when I get home

but this should work
or its close

ACTUALLY, I do the exact same thing..I use the mpc as the master...so whenever I do wasnna use sounds from the trtion, Its running thru the mpc and is sewquenced thru the mp....I'm jus trying to learn the features of the triton better casue I know my mpc pretty good, and I read the manual to my triton and watched the little learning guide video thing , but thats still kinda insufficient for learning everything....cause the manual on the triton shows you how to do things off demo's they already have in the keyboard.....for the triton, do you know how to tweak the bass sounds in seq mode so that it can sound deeper or grungier?

what video thingy are you talkn about?
I'd like to show my boy that

you want to run filters and fx??
you need to set up your fx so they are routed to the right channel/track

The video I'm talkin about is the one that comes with the triton when you buy it new...its basically some cheezy guy showing you how to do things on the triton based on there demos that come witht the triton...On the mpc, do you know if theres a way that you can make one bar like 3 counts instead of 4 counts a bar...I'm askin this cause i have a beat where i need to cut like a half a second at the end of the bar to make the transition between one seq. and another seq. sound smooth...i've sped it up, and tried to match it, but then the sample goes off beat and everything sounds off beat.
