I am using Vienna SoundFont Studio 2.3 to create my own soundfont bank from demo WAV files that I downloaded.

I have been following this tutorial:
http://www.soundfont.com/tutorials/artcreation1.html

The problem is after I make the sf2 file, Sonar 2 doesnt recognize the file (my sf2 file doesnt show up among the other bank options).

I have downloaded and used other soundfonts from Hammersound.net and Sonar recognizes it.

I am following the tutorial to the T so I dont know what's wrong.

I know some of you have made your own soundfonts before so what software do you use? Is there another software I could try to make the soundfont.? Thanks

Live Synth Pro that comes bundled with sonar 2 XL is a .sf2 player. Kontakt will also play soundfonts. Sonar will not read soundfonts directly, only through one of these dedicated samplers/players.
