Never did. I'd rather stick to working on the composition and let someone skilled in mixing handle the rest.
How did it take you to get good at mixing

I my opinion the greatest problem is not to mix right.
The mistakes are done before in songwriting, arrangement,
use of wrong or detuned instruments (also wrong samples)
To much, to less---
If your snare doesnt sound right, often the snare is good but the rest isnt.
But it needs time to figure it out.
