It's sound "mature", you don't need a lot of elements to make the beat sound great. It's perfect for a MC i think. And it match the "less is more" theory

Love the 808's bass sound by the way

I agree that the drums are perfect with this track. Very good on the boards with the mixing. I could see Tech-9 rapping over this one. Like the build ups, almost has an Inception kind of vibe. I like the shouts in the backgrounds during the chorus/verse?. Overall good beat though man. It'll be interesting to see how you can vary your style on different tracks.
