I'm digging this beat you put out here man, I'm a sucker for 90s hip-hop style beats and that drum pattern gives a real nice boom-bap feel. Something seems off about the panning of the kick though...and maybe some of the other elements, but I hear it more in the left ear than the right...maybe it's just my ears. I feel like the melodies gave a nice vibe for sure, but some of them came at some harsh frequencies...maybe more of a high cut on the EQing? Overall I like it though good job man

Pretty much agree with everything dude above me said. I might move the kick a little more to the right but not too much because I do like how it stands out. The instrument or sample thats used in the hook could use some EQing, I'd probably sweep though the frequencies to try & find the most offending ones. Overall tho its got a real good feel to it, & I'm also a sucker for that east coast 90s hip hop lol

Yes to both posters above, kick needs to be centered. If you wanna give it width only widen it above 175Hz, the rest should be mono and center.

the groove of the drums is nice. It sounds like you've got a nice compressor on the kick, and maybe the drum buss. If you aren't compressing the drum buss then I suggest trying, it'll make it bounce even more.

the rest of the mix is nice but hard to comment on until the drums are sorted. Overall good work, keep it up!

Please take a listen to my latest remix when you have a chance, I would appreciate your feedback as well: https://www.futureproducers.com/for...-command-q-blood-stone-new-thread-f4f-475499/

keep it up, great work!

Thanks alot for the feedback, I will get to each and every single thread/link. And @hcgaron.. You mean put a compressor or a limiter on the aux of the kick drum since the bus doesn't raise the overall level?

Great ideas man, the sounds just seem a little far away. Might wanna boost some the levels up bring the drums a little more front specifically the kick right now it sounds a little thin. The small break without the drums you added is really interesting as well.
Feedback?

drums are nice, got my head nodding, and agree the panning needs to be sorted out. I think you need to filter the sample and boost the bass frequencies because they seem to be clashing a little with the drums IMO. To do this I'd recommend duplicating your sample channel, using a band pass filter on it to accentuate the bass - then compress it and with a bit of experimenting you should have yourself a nice fat bass. Hope that helps.
