Yup, I agree with all this.. ONE addendum, however: don't throw away ANYTHING that you do. Tastes vary SO much that SOMEONE out there is going to like whatever you do! I can't tell you how many times I've sold a beat I didn't think much of YEARS later when tastes changed (been in the game for 20 years now)..
