High pitched voice effect

So recently I've been using old school samples to make beats in slicex but i want to be able to raise the pitch of the vocals without changing the octave and making the song sound completely out of tune?? (May be using the wrong terminology but still new to all this)

Is the vocal a sample by itself (just a vocal with no instrumental? Slicex has a pitch knob it it that affects all samples in it. Just shift the pitch up in increments of 100 cents (1 semitone/ 1 key up or down on a keyboard).

Hot tip: if you're unsure about the terminology, don't use the terminology (or ask about them). It just misleads people trying to help you out.

"Raising pitch without changing the octave" is good example of this. I'm kind of guessing you don't want to change the key of the sample, but that'd mean specifically just changing the pitch in increments of octaves.
