how many of you all operate in professional environments of any type on a daily basis? I would suspect only a small minority of you. but you feel that it's your place to argue with folks who are actually in the places you aspire to be. smarten up. A wise man takes good council.

Chase along with others come on here and try and shine some light on your ignorant a**es, simply b/c they want to share their experiences so that hopefully it'll inspire you to push forward. I don't know about y'all stupid m'fers but when people with experience talk, i pull out notepad and take note. and that's on any issue in life.

having said that - the music biz, entertainment, and marketing/promotions are very cut throat competitive industries. you better use whatever angle you can to position yourself. so i'm not hating on anyone who takes the provided info and submits material. however i do think that it's "highly" unprofessional to list contact information in this way without the consent of the individuals...if they knew you did this it would probably cause some issues for you OP.

anyway, as always get money

I've been seeing this too much around here... so I must point it out. I'm noticing a lot of brown nosing going on around here. Memebers will take up for an "established" producer on this site in a heartbeat. Even if they are totally wrong... any ways, that is life though! Always someone brown nosing just to get shyt of it.

The only advice and knowledge I've gotten from the "established" here is sleepy, Sleep Deez, deranged, and that is it. These members don't come here to argue, they come here to share info and help others.

on some real that top info was a good look...dudes ain't calling a & r's all joe and ish though.

i would rather not get into a tit for tat thing but just felt the need to respond.

brown nosing would imply that folks are agreeing with "established" producers point of view simply because of their positioning in the game. that's a little presumptuous at best. but i would agree, brown nosing in any situation is a cowardly way to behave.

on the flip side i see a lot of ignorant folks arguing with people who are "in the know". i mean most of this stuff is a matter opinion anyway, right. state your viewpoint then stfu, ya know?

i see a lot of cats throw disrespect at the "established" producers simply b/c they want to pick a fight.

True. i see your point. I'm definitely not one of those dudes. I just notice so much around here. Get in an argument with a "established"... 80% of the others view the "un-established" as being wrong. Then they jump in an try to argue with the "un-established". Round here in the DMV we call that cheerleading. Then right after they argue, the cheerleader goes and say "hey... so who you work with again?" to the "established".

There's a reason some of us on here have had a little success and others haven't.......

You'd be surprized! People spam the sh*t out myspace pages, so what do think they'd do with a contact number. I checked my myspace one day a some ignorant m^&%er posted on the bulletin board "NEW MUSIC CHECK IT OUT" somewhere around 25x in a row. I let it slide the first time but the second time he got deleted from my friends list so I would no longer be subjected to that type of B.S. Its just plain old annoying and rather juvenile and this is the type of person who if he had an A&R's number would problably call it the same amount of times in a week. And people wonder why they get no responses and its so hard to get anyone to talk to you let alone listen. Not coming at your neck JustNice, just giving my 2 pennies!

Of course, reasons for everything. There is also going to be reason why the ones on this site who haven't had mainstream success will succeed a 10 fold past the ones who have the little success they have now.

Everything has a reason. :)

Dude Who Posted This Had Good Intentions, But Just Calling Folks Up Wasn't Gone Work. But It Don't Hurt To Try.

I Got The Original Post With All the Numbers But I Aint Gone Use It Cause I Don't Make Phone Calls. Never Works Unless Their Expecting You.

Yeah everyone. I've stored this information personally. if you are going to utuilize this given info from axis, please email them, don't phone them. Wait to phone them when they ask you to.

When you email them just explain you have some tracks for whomever, or you want them to listen to your tracks, leave your contact information and end the email off as if you are really expecting to hear back from them. Don't post any links or downloads right away, ask them if you could get some of their time first, they will appreciate that 100x more.

Cats who have big success started out with little success, in turn started out with no success........

5 years from now the same cats with no success might still have no success and the cats with little success will still be banking off of this music industry.......

The only reason why i can attack this statement is choice of words (bolded), which leads to generalizing.

i really hope that wasn't a blind-comment towards my post ... but since it was about 2 posts after mine ... ill think it was ... for starters if ur implying that im sticking up for jayd ... ur incorrect .. ive known dude since i was in 9th grade when i use acid 2 make beats and he was partners with my homie sanzo ... so make sure ur have ur comments and facts all tightened up before you make statements ... i simply agreed that people are only going to learn from there mistakes.. and rather than make the mistake of calling people and you have NO BACKING @ all ... your already on the wrong track ... im sure a grip of people on here don't even know how to setup their publishing but are quick to pick up a phone and ask Ron Fair to listen 2 their tracks ... what kinda sense is that? Walk before you run ... and make sure u understand how to handle your business PROFESSIONALLY ... its as simple as that. I'm only throwing in my two cents because i've been blessed with the oppurtunity to work @ a label and hopefully get a job there in the next year or so .. and i've SEEN people get hung up on and BANNED from entering buildings due to the fact they can't handle their business in the correct manner ... but w/e ... different strokes for different folks

You're right..i've always said its not about gettin there faster than other people its about gettin in and staying in...but your whole approach is just lame, the way I took that statement...is you're saying "I'm better than the cats on here who got a little success, I know I'm better than them, wait til I get connects like them Im gonna be big time, they're trash."

That may not have been your intent, but coming from you, I think it was.

On a lighter note...
If more people focused on the actual craft of making music and building personal relationships they'd go a lot further. Instead of sittin at home, not willing to sacrifice to get where they want to be, throwin the remote at the tv everytime they see a joint produced by Nitti.

Mister Encore, I was in no way talking about you. I didn't even know you existed until now, so thats cleared up.

"I'm better than the cats on here who got a little success, I know I'm better than them, wait til I get connects like them Im gonna be big time, they're trash."

Sleep, you my dude, but where in the hell, heaven, world, universe, galaxy did you get this assumption? Seriously. Your quote is on some Classical type shyt, I'm way right field out the ball park Techno. ???

Check all my posts, I've never hated, on anyone on this site, and I always wish them the best of luck. You think I would say that? Wow... holy hell.
