I understand but what if you are not able to travel like that? I am just playing Devil's Advocate because it seems that cats in the game who have had some level of success always look down on cats who are trying anything possible just to make some noise and get noticed. You and Chase are in the industry practically so you have a certain access that some of us don't. So maybe you could enlighten us on how exactly to approach people in hopes of getting our music heard.

BTW, i feel myspace is like throwing a letter in bottle into the Atlantic Ocean. It may get to it's pointed destination, but chances are it won't.
you take a risk and move where things are go down.

"I just did some stuff for a guy in the parking lot"

I love it in that episode when Adam West smacks Chris with the paddle

"Oh i got you you freshman. I've taught you the lesson that it is not okay to be a freshman"

Technology has changed that... just as dudes thought you couldn't get to the other land.. then boats are made...

Man I made a sacrifice.

I was living in New Orleans in the hood lol.

if you want to make a believable approach.

Make a sacrifice and go where the business is.

**** aint going to come to you.

First, why do you always have this condescending tone when you answer questions? If someone asking it's because they obviously want to know. I know it takes sacrifice. Nothing worth having is acquired without sacrifice. But why not tap every possible avenue possible. I would understand if cats were talikng about calling someones home number but these are business numbers. That's what they're there for. I'm sure you read Russell SImmons' book right? In it he talks of a woman who constantly called his office trying to get a meeting. Eventually, he was so turned on by her persistenece that he met with her and evntually she began working for Def Jam. I'm suggesting to stalk a mother****er, but you never know what avenue of approach may work for any given person.

I don't show tone on here.

This is typing.

Everything I say is very relaxed and nonchalant.

Warning... this post contains:

"Nolage"

chemical is very hot!

You are showing a condescending tone in post where you obviously have emotion on the subject, calling people stupid over their opinions. Typing (writing) means something and it can 90% of the time portray how you really act.

Regardless, it seems like because you are on and doing your thing, which I'm happy for, you seem annoyed when newcomers or people seeking advice ask questions. That's what the forums here for. If I have you wrong, then I apologize, but that's I feel. At least going by a lot of your responses.

lol @ ya'll goin' back and forth for 9 pages while the original poster has graciously bowed out of the thread...let it die...its too late for damage control now...people are gonna do what they want anyway...it probably won't yield any results for them anyway...who knows, some jackass may get beatjacked for sending in his sh!t blindly...plus if they are in the business, if they are a&r's, i'm sure they are used to this type of sh!t happening...they are grown folks...they can take care of themselves...they don't need phone bodyguards...

I'm giving advice.

Some of you just choose to nitpick and try to depict how I'm coming off instead of reading what I type without a judgemental view ready to shoot away in our mind.

I have no reason to pick on anyone, but I just call things how I see it.

When someone is comparing Toys R Us to the Music Industry, they're being stupid IMO.

Once again "Nolage".

Also don't forget to copyright everybody! See ya!

Are you or have you been an A&R or held some other type of executive position? Because you sound very sure of yourself that calling will not yeild any results.

Like I said, if I have you pegged wrong, I apologize. I take all the things I can use from everyone's comments, so I appreciate any knowledge you have dropped.

Before I go...

"When someone is comparing Toys R Us to the Music Industry, they're being stupid IMO"

Dude... I think people who misinterpret a "forum" of a site with the word "industry" isn't stupid, but displays low comprehension skills, IMHO.

Reference:

"He didn't post this in a Toy's R Us forum."

note: the word "this" applies to the contacts op posted. this statement above is saying is basically saying that he isn't giving the contact info to random irrelevant people...
