Help please

First of all, hopefully this is in the right forum. But, I am having trouble with Reason 5 it's definitely a big amateur mistake but I just can't figure it out. When I am using NN-19 or the combinator and putting in a bass line with my PadKontrol when I replay it none of the notes hold. They just play for a second even when i recorded it, I would hold the note down longer.

Are you actually recording in the sequencer? Make sure you have the correct intrument selected to record in the left hand side panel of the sequencer window, and make sure you hit the record button below (next to the play button if I'm not mistaking). If it doesn't work, try reading the manual...
