I currently have a white macbook running a 2 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 1GB of memory and 24 GB of HD space left.

Would I be able to run Cubase 6 with multiple plug ins (five to seven) seamlessly without choking my CPU to death?

Would upgrading to 6 GB of ram and/or adding an additional internal HD with 1 TB of space remedy the before said issues?

Please help.

Running multiple VST´s will require more than 1GB of RAM nowadays, I would definitely recommend that you upgrade to at least 2-4GB of RAM. My portable setup is a MBP 2.4Ghz and the standard 2GB that it came with and it runs ok, I cant do multiple heavy VST´s such as Omnisphere without it choking. Also get yourself a external HDD and install all your samples on there that will save you a ton of space. I was skeptic about doing this at first, because then I always needed my external HDD whenever I wanted to produce. But get yourself one of them portable HDD with FireWire connection if you want the fastest, but I use USB and it works fine for me. Hope this helped. Good luck!

Thank you so much. I will go the RAM upgrade and external hard drive route. I appreciate you weighing in.
