im new and i cant figure this out sorry if its something i did wrong or am simply overlooking

So i was making a remix and the last 2 days all my instruments are only making the c5 sound and i can not for the life of me figure out how to get it back to where it has different tones please someone help me out

its a dubstep samples pack that i downloaded online at ghosthack.de
when i was first using them it worked fine but just recently it stopped so i think it was something i did.

i tried to upload a screenshot but it wont let me since i havent made 20 posts yet

This has happened to me before too, I dont know whats wrong but I do know if you select all your notes and copy, then delete the sound off the list, then go add it again then past your notes on it. Certain sounds only have 1 note so if you replace your sound with one of those sounds then if you change it back all your gonna get is 1 note even though that sound is capable of more than 1. i hope that made sense.

two things to check. click on the main sample window and make sure you click on time and then reset, this makes sure you are not stretching the sample and causing it to play at only the stretched pitch. If this doesn't work click on the drop down and click resample.

The second thing maybe if the sample only plays on c5 and no other keyboard notes. Go to the sample and click on the last tab, then at the bottom there should be a reset button to reset the keyboard range, this is for when you want to have two sounds on one keyboard but sometimes samples can trigger this inbuilt range.

It's not an issue with the samples or FL it's just a quirk of the extra data used in wave files to help multisampling etc.

If in doubt use ableton it's better for pretty much everything IMHO

All sounds come in different notes, usually a higher note than anything. Go to your SS in fruity loops (beside the piano roll button at the top) click on your sound and click on the INST tab. This will bring up your little piano with the orange block over the note that the sound is playing in. ((Right Click)) over the key you want the sound to be played in and where ever the orange block is over is the note the sound will play in. If you have anymore questions on this hit me up on a PM and I'll explain further.
