if you want to stop the redrum from constantly playing, unclick the button that says "Enable Pattern Selection".
this will play only whats you sent to the sequencer by itself.
you want different patterns on one track do this:
- make sure the pattern button is lit up on the redrum, then choose the pattern. it should be on 1 initially
- create the pattern ("ritim") on 1. create a different pattern on 2, and so on
- go down to the sequencer and set the left and right points to where want pattern 1. right click the redrum and send it down
- move the L and R points, send down pattern 2. etc and so on

you could also use the pencil tool. if you select the redrum track and use the pencil, you can see a dropdown that says pattern/loop at the top of the sequencer. whatever is selcted there is what the pencil will draw. if you use the pencil you dont need to use the L and R markers, you can just draw whereever you want
