Hello, Future producers!
I am a music writer. I write music on guitar and bass, but I've just recently been creating songs on Cubase. When people ask me what kind of music I like, I'm always at a loss. I only have about 5 bands in the conventional sense that have influenced me heavily. Other than that, though, I've always been captivated by movie and game soundtracks. Some of my influences are:
-Audioslave
-Linkin Park
-The Matrix trilogy soundtrack
-Metal Arms:Glitch in the system soundtrack
-Dubstep (No particular band)
-The vibe of nu-metal at it's best
So, throw that together with some Jon factor, and you get.. Well, feel free to listen to what you get!
I think that the approach I take towards writing music really would suit videogame soundtracks and movie soundtracks. I like making music that you can really sink into, that can be atmospheric and hard-rocking at the same time. So This sounds like a good venue to share my stuff!
