I know his business practices are old news, but I just can't shake the suspicion that he either steals or takes credit for others beats and can't make one on his own to save his live. I was wondering if anyone's worked with or known someone to work with him or has actually seen footage of him ACTUALLY TOUCHING a keyboard or other equipment himself? The only footage I've seen is of him sitting in a room while others are at the controls or giving a clueless interview with OpenLabs. I have a couple points as to why I think he's a complete ****ing fraud which I'll list:
1. Never seen him produce
2. There is no consistency to the productions he's credited to, they all sound like they could have been made by different people.
3. He doesn't seem to know anything about equipment or the production process from what I've read (doesn't know what an XLR is, claims the Apple loops from "Love in This Club" are from this "keyboard" of his that has a lot of sounds.)
4. Ayo The Producer... if you don't know, look it up.
5. All around lack of professional attitude and demeanor (not paying studio bills even though he's loaded, basically talking and acting like an ignorant **** which is completely inconsistent with the level of professionalism and musicianship that appear on some of the records he's taken credit for.)
Basically, I just think his whole existence doesn't quite add up. My theory is that the only beats he actually made himself were the ones that involved either holding down a single key in Massive (Nas - Hero) or pasting together some Logic/Garageband loops (Usher - Love in This Club) and all the others that actually seem to have some sort of production value were stolen from a young unknown producer as he has been proven to do. I just think his presence takes up space in the industry that could be occupied by younger, talented and more HONEST, hardworking producers. What do you guys think? (and yeah, I'm pretty much hating
