I Think this thread shoulda stopped at 1 page and people should've went and done with this boy is doing.

"Ohh my god GZA! he's dissing 50 and souljah boy!"- Who gives a f@ck!

Then he apologies to souljah boy. As gay as it can get.

It's irrelevant to everyone on this thread. Just another "days of our lives" topic in the rap and hip hop world to stay relevant.

Someone give Gza a new york beat and tell him to rap and shut the fuk up, get relevant another way. Maybe a positive way.

In the real world:

GZA's one of the lesser famous members of Wu

50's a legend for selling 9 million records US 14 worldwide

Soulja Boy will go down in history, and will be a legend.

Sorry, just the facts.

That's the truth. GZA got skills but these days that don't mean much if you don't have mass appeal.

People need to lay off of Soulja Boy because he's just a kid that was messing around, having fun, and created a hit song. You can't hate the dude for that.

put this on repeat...and it'll be the equivalent of this thread...

damn...y is it that I don't like anybody with MASS APPEAL??? wow...

Prolly cuz you don't fall for the Hollywood glitz and glam. I'm the same way unless that person has real talent and is making good music.

i dont know what its like where u are but from what i know from speaking to people if i say hip hop they like think its shiiit until i say older hiphop like wu tang tribe called quest lets face it in the real world 50 sells to kids kids grow up listin to better gorups wu de la soul etc i kno because i am young and listind to 50 like 3 years ago thinking he was kl now i like wu tang and shiz and know wat a dick 50 is samewith all my freinds you get a few pricks that like this stuff but that is because its on the radio and they like to be "cool" by listining to the top chart hits. wu tang has gone down in history 50 will be remberd dont get me wrong but not in the same way, and sulja boy wont drop another album mayb a few mixtapes then he will take his ass back to school! What are people talking about gza shouldnt diss sulja boy cos he is 17 if he thinks he can call him self sulja boy becuase he is a solider presumably he can handle people taking shots at him geeeeez

wow this thread goes for 14 pages!!! there's really only a few things to be said about this video:

A: gza is a legend
B: 50 cent is not a legend, he's just ok
C: soulja boy not a legend, he's garbage

therefore, gza has a right to diss out 50 and soulja boy. nuff said.
A. Gza is part of a legendary crew hes not legendary himself
B. 50 will be a legend with time. he has had way more impact on the game than Gza has or will have alone.
C. I cant defend Soulja Boy but I do enjoy to superman hoes

Should we be mad at Soulja Boy... or the people that like Soulja Boy...

or both?

GZA never had a single as big as Soulja Boys... and... he has put out records before... what's his problem? Did he not know how to connect to the buying public... did he think that everybody wants to put on a song that will depress them instead of one that will make them have fun?

Protect your Neck, Clan in the front,... really get me ready for a good time and having some fun... yeah, right. My big azz would rather Crank anything rather than sit around with my face scrunched up trying to act hard like I'm intimidating somebody. Living out hardcore fantasies in a sound proof booth does not make you threatening. Makes me think that GZA has nothing to be happy about... Soulja Boy does.

Superman'n hoe's > Protectin' my neck...

Super Soak'n hoe's > Da Mystery of Chessboxin'

Who gives a damn about Chessboxin' away, lol.

gza has brought out records what you talking about. I am not saying people are wrong for listin to sulja boy or what ever becuase in my opinion hip hop has catagory's like pop hip hop indie hip hop etc it just pisses me off when sulja boy goes on tv and radio saying like we top hip hop. You clearly no nothing about Wu Tang clan theres sulja boy fans 50 cent fans there Wu Tang fanatics people tattoe them self with Wu tang sad as it sounds. Wu tang have a ****ing dynasty In there feild of hip hop 50 cent had his own clothing lable i think wu tang was the first group to do that. Gza liqid swords album is classed one of the best hiphop album ever out so alot of people do care for chess boxing maybe the words used are a little complicated.
Yo read up on some wu tang members and you will see they are not studio gangsters and there lyrics are positive hwne u listin to them.

Your point is moot because you have your hardcore hip hop heads that love liquid swords and you have people that don't feel like sitting down discecting lyrics. They wanna get up and dance. You can't hate on that. Hip Hop didn't start out like liquid swords, it started out at parties making people dance. That what kills me about so called hip hop purists, they act like hip hop started out so lyrical and shat. It started out with the DJ and then the MC picked up the mic to see who could rock the crowd. Wu Tang has a cult following but Soulja Boy had the whole world Supermaning that hoe. You can't hate on that.

See the thing is... I'm not a fan boy and I don't owe anything to the WU Tang clan. I'm actually not a "fan" of anyone. I like Rakim as an emcee and I stood next to him and talked to him LIKE A MAN! in Salisbury, MD. I would never get a tattoo of nothing unless it actually meant the world to me.

So with that said, I'll say this....

WU TANG HAD ONE GOOD CD. Their debut. The next ones were ALL ASS! Their lyrics were so - lack of a better term - abstract... that I don't think they even knew what they were saying. I see them ninjaz in interviews talking about Karate movies, chess and numbers like they're some scholars or something. I knew RZA wasn't all people made him out to be from that 2nd CD. Because you talk grimey, abstract non-sense and frown up your face in a video doesn't mean you're some profound lyricist. Make lyrics that make sense like RAKIM'S or G RAP'S. I thought Method Man was ill, still is. ODB was hella fun to watch... Ghost kinda kept the real Hip Hop feel around... the rest of 'em... whatever. Raekwon too, nothing spectacular. I said it and you don't like it too bad.

Why is C.R.E.A.M such a profound acronym? What does chessboxin' have to do with anything? Who gives a ghat damn shat, lol.

What the hell does can I get a Suuuuuuu! mean? lol. Stupid ass shyt, sheepish wannabe thugs embrace. THEM NINJA'Z IS CORNY, SON!

Right down to the name. What kind of name is WU-TANG for a bunch of niggaz from New York. Them ninjaz ain't from Japan, Korea, China.... the closest they come to being Asian is eating Teriyaki. Talkin' about they're from Shaolin... more ignorant drug induced non-sense, lol.

RZA talks about all that in the Wu manual^^^

Its actually a good read.

I never said you had to like them but you obvisuly never looked into them like why they called them selfs wu tang clan and the martial arts influence but yet you judge them for doing it you never read about rza which if you had you'd know he clearly knows what he is talking about when he uses big words and they do make sence. I wont say why the **** has sulja boy got that name he is a 17 yr old kid that wears fly clothes and talks about girls he anit a ****ing sulja but he may have his reasons.
Though it dosnt matter what you think of them they sell out gigs all over the world radio's still want to use them biggest names in hollywood want rza to do the soundtrack biggest rappers and producers like kanye just blaze evenold ones like pete rock marly mal say they were heavily influenced by the wu tang son.
Probly best if you stick to the bubble gum pop shi dude dont want to rack your brain to much.

Guess you'll like Teriyaki Boyz too.

WU had one good CD. End of story.

Ever heard of dont judge a book by its cover?

Yeah it sounds dumb but I was suprised, it was pretty good. Wasn't cheesy at all. Of course if you like Wu at all, you have to have a taste for the slightly whimsical, which isnt for everyone.

Of all people on this site I tolerate dumb shyt the least, and if puffedout says the book aint dumb...it aint dumb. lol.

But whatever...Im not some huge fan of them...A fan but not a huge one. RZA's book made me more of a fan though. I have a lot of respect for what he's done.

Ion give a fuyck what you say Pac go harder than anybody in Wu-tang, GZA, RZA, Meth, all them guys. What the fuyck does a liquid sword and a chessbox mean to me SH*T!!!!! People like Rakim, Eazy, Pac, Nas, Face, Mac, Jig, and 3 stacks, represent to me what hip hop is all about. Fuyck a Wu-Tang

funniest thing ive read in a while.

see definition of "one hit wonder".... some where it must contain the phrase "will not go down in history, will not be a legend"

unless you think the baha men went down in history, and are legends, for "who let the dogs out"...

I like big butts and I cannot lie....I think that joint is ifinite in hip hop. Soulja boy's not legendary by a long shot. But there are a few one hit wonders that wont be forgotten.

^^^Damn, beat me to it. We on the same track.

Can't argue any of that, lol. But I was never much of a "fan" of anyone either. Do like alot of people's music that's as far as it goes. I toured with them back in the days, and to be honest, 90% of the time, they were so faded they really didn't know what they were talking about. Everything else is lost in translation from 5 percent religion(form of islam in relation to realist beleifs) and english dutch phrases("mall to the go" instead of "go to the mall").

Then there was the millions of inside jokes, random movies only they saw, and reference to esoteric things only they knew. But it's easy to say they was just "kickin' knowlege".
