I’m writing this post to help new producers to make and release their music. The information contained in will show you how to start selling your beats. Hopefully, this will help newer producers start down the path that leads to a professional career and financial growth. The experience I’ve gathered over the years has tremendously helped me to build a successful business in the music industry, and I’m happy to share the knowledge I’ve accumulated.

Once you’re a good beat maker, meaning you can make the kind of beats that people like, you’re ready to start your beat generating business for yourself. The misconception that most producers fall victim to is the one that says you must have you’re your own sound to sell beats. There’s nothing further from the truth than that myth. To sell beats, you must have the kind of beats that people want to buy. Ultimately, every producer who creates beats will eventually develop their own sound and style. Instead of focusing primarily on that developing a unique sound focus on getting feedback from others online and off. Trust me; it feels good knowing that your best supporters will promote you because they’ve become involved, rather it’s financially, artistically or both. You should be financially capable to filing the necessary paper work to protect your intellectual property. Not only that, money is required in all aspects of conducting business. Those who don’t have money to start and run their business will find themselves struggling while producers like us prosper. Not only that, it’ll be difficult obtain a confident purchasing decisions from visitors of whatever free online store you set up. It cost money to make money and all businesses need money to remain open.

As a business owner looking to sell beats, your first priority is starting a website. A beat selling website will act as your twenty four hour non-stop store front, payment processing system, sales funnel and more. Some may wonder. “Why start a website when there’s Soundclick and other selling platforms?” The answer’s simple; other platforms limit you by the number of pages you’re allowed to have, storage space, online exposure and much more. Their goal is give music creators what they need while limiting the information they receive from cyberspace activity. The system works well because it plays on the ignorance of others. Let’s face it; a ton of money is made by taking advantage of the ignorance of others. Don’t get me wrong, it’s important to have multiple online music profiles on sites like soundclick, soundcloud, MyFlashStore, etc. However, the purpose of having them should be to meet people and direct them to your website.

Follow the lead of every successful business in the world and get a website. The longer you own and update your website, the easier it will be able to sell beats to people you’ve never met. Do things the right way and you won’t need to work too hard when selling instrumentals or anything else.
