has anybody ever used one of these before? I was thinking about getting one of these, but I'm not sure yet. Are there any similar mixers in the same price that anybody would recommend for a trance DJ? Thnx.

its a good mixer for the price u pay for it. tell us how much u are paying for it and maybe we can find u alternatives. i would recommend u put down more money to buy a better mixer if u could. this doesnt mean that anything is wrong with the bpm 250 just that there are bigger and better things :D of course they are more expensive too

I was going to put down $200 for it (new) but I was also looking at the Gemini KL-10 Pro. Right now I can't acommodate a 19" mixer, so I'm a bit more limited than I'd like to be. Should I stick with it?

If u dont have the space for the 19inch mixer then u have no option. what are u looking at in terms of features for a mixer ?

Gemini Products are a good value for the money
they have gotten a bad wrap over the years cause
of thier earlier products, so if thats what you
can invest then it will do the job.

PS: For the around the same price i think
u can get a Behringer 500 Mixer, it has a panasonic
crossfader and its a good value for what your
trying to invest IMO.

yep the behringer would be a very good choice and i agree on wickeds view point on gemini products.

I was looking primarily for something with decent frequency kills, and the beat counters just look really juicy. I know it sounds kinda lazy, but it makes your job a lot easier when you're trying to mix really different material together. It positively the worst feeling when you try for so long to get the pitch right for a mix, but you can't quite get it for more than six seconds. Anyway, I take it that I should probably invest in a Behringer 500? Thanks guys! Now it's just a question of availability...

BTW, I also agree with you guys about Gemini products. On a more humorous note, have any of you seen the Gemini "Instructional Video" that they include with their XL DJ kits? I'm not sure whether to bust out laughing or break down crying when I see it ;-p

Quick note:
I did notice you had some interest in having
a BPM counter on the mixer, the Behringer that
Trickmaster and I mentioned does not have a BPM
counter. But I'd check it out anyway.
