Gemini BPM-1000???

Hey all, I was looking for some feedback on the Gemini BPM-1000 (also on the BPM-250 would be nice!!!)... if anyone here that has one, or has had a pretty good amount of experience on one I would really appreciate the pro's con's, likes dislikes, etc. etc.. Also, concerning phono vs. line inputs - is the only difference that phono supports stereo sound? are there any other differences?

I owned a BPM 1000 for over a year. It really is a very cool mixer for the price you pay. I never had any problems at all. Its all good. Even the crossfader has a nice touch to it. The phono input is to be used for turntables. Turntables put out a lower output in terms of voltage than cd or tape so in order to compensate there is a boost of voltage (phono amp) in order to bring it to line level.
 
I went out and got a BPM-250 and I am very satisfied with my investment. I think the beat offset counter and beat counters aren't too great. I think the offset counter SUCKS but I don't use it anyways, so I could care less. I'd rather have a 24 sec sampler than an offest counter. Aside from that, you get a lot of cool toys and bang for your buck, it's a versatile mixer with a comfortable feel and the crossfader is pretty good. I just found out that it's some specially made Japanese thing. Gemini doesn't advertise that strangely enough. I think it's a solid mixer and wouldn't part with it for a while. Gemini makes some pretty sweet mixers (as well as some really crappy ones) but this one is pretty good. I'm probably correct in assuming the BPM-1000 is the same package with more inputs and higher quality. IMHO it's not a bad substitute for the Panasonic DJM500. <br>Me like.
