Votes

Kontak80= I liked the whole lead. Couldn't really vibe with Bigsy's whole bell melody.

YoungHove= I liked the sample and the implementation of that recogniseable drum pattern.

Str8Klownin= Tough, because I genuinely liked both entries but I kinda liked the switch up towards the end. Tis was close.

DCurtin= Close once again but I prefered the energy in this one. The "choppy" effect in skillz's track didn't work for me. But the production was tight nonetheless.

Timbo= Heavyweight Champion

VOTES

Kontak

P2k5

Str8Clownin - wit out tha vocal samples it would be perfect, maybe they're tags so i understand

DCurtain

Timbo-changed the game like how many times?

Vote:

kontak80 "Pop Ya Colla" couldnt mess with the melody Bigsy had. I got lost.
Vote Kontak80

P2005 "Week 1's beat" nice beat. very original. Young Hove "19-12-05" the drums sound like that kanye west jam with dude from Maroon 5.
Vote: P2005

J. Troup "Basultan": had my head nodding after the intro. I'm lovin that bass line. It goes hard. The sample is rough too. Str8Klownin "Welcome to Gotham" very nice pimpin. I'm diggin the whole batman theme. only thing i didnt like is when it changed at 1:09. that sound what is it?
Vote: J-Troup

DCurtin "Whoa": good sample it just got really repetitive. You kinda got the same pattern as a just blaze beat.
Skillz: watch your treble on that clap.
Vote: DCurtin

Timbo of cousre,,,,who would vote otherwise

bigzy, ur snare was a tad bit too loud for the rest of the beat man, i rekon if u kept the guitar goin right through till the end woulda been better sequencing was pretty good, but i know u coulda done alot better bro *slaps ya up the bak of the head* :P jks man good work.

kontak80.. sorry to say this bro but ur song was kinda anoying, far too repititive, maybe a keychange or sumfin woulda been nice.. sequencing was alright, and i repeat, ALRIGHT.. nothing great, but meh, and the beat didnt have much to it realli, and those bongo drums, kinda a no-no if u ask me. other than that, not bad man

my vote for these 2 = bigzy

Young Hove ur beat had a nice start, but its a 2pac sample (the melodie) isnt it?? the sequencing needed a bit of a beat break here and there i rekon, and it woulda been HOT.. maybe even if u cut up the sample in places, and made it sorta skip and in the skips make there be no sounds hitting or ne thing... then this woulda been an awesome beat man.. good stuff bro.

P2005, man i digged that! thats def FIIIRE!! i love the way u broke it down a bit here and there, added like a real 'bring it bak' feel to it, but by the end, i was kinda a bit over the melodie man, once again, maybe a keychange or make the first key it hits in the melodie hit say 6 times or sumfin then kick bak into the normal melodie :D other than that its an awesome song, great work man..

my vote for these 2 = P2005

J. Troup oh man where do i start.. i loved the intro it seemed like it was gunna be another fast kinda beat, but it ended up surprising me with a slow chill kinda melodie, with a bit of sound-fx here and there like the little sound that hits the left speaker sound like sumfin saying 'phew' but realli quiet lol, and i like how the keychange comes in man, realli makes ya take ur mind off the main melodie and takes it to a new level.. and the synth work was amazing man, realli gave an airie sky-light kinda feel to it.. good work man, keep it up :)

Str8Klownin, the intro was good, that sample was a good choice bro ;) then the low strings kicking in made it go off the hook man, that realli got sh!t goin, and the other vocal samples man, sounds like u put alot of effort into em cutting em up and stuff man. when the high strings came in, that gave like the feeling like as though 'its all over' if u know wat i mean, loved it man! strings realli do it for me, and the ending was niice bro, good work :D

my vote for these 2 = J. Troup (this was a hard decision)

DCurtin, the intro seems nice man, but the sample work on the vocal wasnt exactly great, but still it was alright man, the melodie was a tad anoying, needed to be longer man but i like the way u tried to break it up and add key breaks and stuff, coz without them i prolly would stoped the song within the first minute, coulda put a lil more effort into it, especially with the beat man, other than that nice work.

Skillz, bro, come on now man.. not to be nasti or ne thing but u should put alot more effort into this ay, it was a nice intro, sounds like u put a fair bit of effort into ur synth work, but not enough on the actual melodie itself man, the beat kick was a tad too hard, should try sumfin that hits a little softer but lasts longer? and ur snare was a bit too loud man.. i like the hihat work though they were niice ;) and the break downs realli gave it an epic kinda feel in a wierd way lol.. other than the things i just said, good work man :D

my vote for these 2 = DCurtin

wow, thanks for all those comments cozza!

sall good man, thnx for being the first person to actually say thanks man lol

- Bigsy (Real close, hard decision Kontaks beat was nice as well. Liked the percusion.

- Youg Hove & P2005 I can't vote myspace won't load the player. Use SC I hate having to go to myspace player.

- Str8Klownin (Str8's beat got my head noddin more and the vocal samples were a nice touch to the beat.)

Skills (Didn't liek D's sample to much, it ws cool but I didn't liek the main melody. Skills spacey melody caught on with me more and I was feeling it.)

- Scott Storch (Was never a big fan of timbaland to much)

Hove, i know we're on the same team and all, but isn't that just a sample loop over a loop of Kanye's "Heard Em Say" drum track?

Noticed that too. I didn't want to shout it out first. Seemed like a lazy submission.

not to disrespect but i found kontaks repetative...in my opinion J Troup brought the best heat from the stick up kids this week
