The Miko doesn't require any gas or insurance, or maintenance.

The CEO contacted me Saturday night and said he's going to overnight my unit on Tuesday. So hopefully I'll have it by Wednesday, or at the very latest, Thursday.
 
Ehh so it sounds like "Music Computing" is going to be better than "Open Labs".

I can't wait to see exactly what they have to offer. I was gonna buy s laptop to produce on the go, but I decided to wait when I heard bout this.
 
Has anyone ever made a laptop with a quality soundcard in it? Something with multiple 1/4 jacks or preferably XLRs and a quality built in pre-amp with phantom power?

The XLR input alone would make the laptop double in thickness.


Echo used to make and external soundcard that would slide into your PCMCIA slot, so you have rack mount functionality in your laptop.



But it seems like this MusicComputing.com joint has a Docking Station coming out, that will have all of those inputs, plus a midi controller and screen, so that you can just dock your Macbook with it, and you have all of those things right there.
