Haha. "The Final Countdown"

Anyway, it does sound like samples of synths. Where every preset was engineered to totally dominate and not play well in a mix no matter where you put the levels. (that will only make sense to 5% of the people in FP, but maybe you are one of them).

Nice melodies on the second and third tracks (the first was nice, but completely not yours...which makes me a little curious about the other two), but I think Nexus is one of those romplers where one or two patches at most should appear in the same song. Those beats would be a lot better if it had other sources for sounds.

yea i noticed that Nexus is a one man show. the effects in it period are too heavy (5% mix = Tasma Hall) . and the plugin itself is VERY loud and i havent figured out how to low its default. but then again, it hard to mix properly in fl Studio due to the percentage instead of db meters

and nice call, that first beat is not mine my original. its something if flipped from a European band

Yes, that European band's name is Europe (from Sweden), by the way and "The Final Countdown" is a very, very recognizable. That famous synth horn lead is from the mighty Polysix...I'm glad I own the KLC.

omg trusty lol, thats exactly what I thought, everything is VERY HEAVY, but sounds nice. And yes, the Final Countdown was very recognizable, as I have tried to sample that many times in the past lol Nice track though, just needs some better mixing.

It's the first time I agree with you, but if you take a track to a big studio it won't be a problem. But you must admit that the sound are really hot.

I feel where you're coming from Trusty you just have to know how to mix in the wrong hands it can cause a lot of problems lol...

Its a great program for insperation since the patches are overloaded with fx

When I'm tweaking I always have to eq and seriously reduce the reverb/delay. Adjust the attack release etc.

Its not as flexible as I'd like always but some of the sounds in it are top notch. Its nice for a big epic sound....

And back to the post the 2nd beat is pretty nice just needs a better mix.

Peace

Well you should do it more often...it is more fun being right all the time. :D

**Random question**

Does Nexus have MIDI out channels? I had a look on the site, it doesn't seem to.

Are that all preset sounds in your beats?

^^^^presets with minor tweakage. there isnt really much inside nexus as far as effects go. its was mostly designed to be something for Trance and music of that nature. it just so happened i a could also use it for Rap and hiphop

Yeah Nexus is a Beast lots of my beats use Nexus

I hope they realease a Hip-Hop Expansion

Those beats are fire man....I have Nexus and I love it..Where'd you get that sine wave from? I have Nexus and I don't think that sign wave is in there unless you have the expansion packs..

that sound is when i was messing around with the default patch and the internal functions inside nexus. i was playing with stuff so i dont remember exactly what i did to make that sound

Aight...I see what you did...You tweaked one of the sine pads, I just found them...I was looking for a sine wave.

Guys, why would you say that nexus doesn't sit in the mix well when there are other vsts.It is all about skills. And yes Nexus is Beast.Since i bought it i use it in almost each of my songs.

Here is Example of Nexus and Hypersonic 2 .Only the guitar and drums are not from it.The guitar is layered with harp and it is from Hypersonic 2 and it fits right in the mix.

1. You have much less going on in your track. Which I like by the way.

2. Well, this really isn't mixed well either. Lead flutie thing is way too loud...can barely hear the pads in the background...so faint that they add nothing to the track.

3. But, really, it isn't a volume level issue with Nexus not sitting in the mix...it is a presence issue. Which is why you don't get what we are saying.

I understand that is a presence issue and yes i get it.You can eq and make it sound in the back or where you like.Mixing is much more than adjusting the volume. What I meant is that it blends well with other vsts and with external fx you can do everything. The presence thing can be "Repared".

Yes, mixing is much more than volume. Everyone here understands that. The point is, when you start taking dynamics and fx at it, it takes away from the reason the synth patch was liked in the first place and works against the user.

As I said earlier, if I were to use Nexus, I would only have one instance and only one or two sounds from it for any given song I did with it.

Same issue I had with z3ta+. I totally love that synth, but it totally dominates over everything else that using more than one or two patches from it in a single song makes it almost unbearable to mix.
