Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 DSP + Hard Drive Issues

Hey peps,
Just got my hands on a new Saffire Pro 24 DSP featuring VRM. Finally found some time to play with it today and to my dismay the only way I was able to make it work was by direct link to my Macbook Pro.

In the past I would connect my audio interface to my OWC Mercury Elite - AL Pro via Firewire 400 and the corresponding 800s leading out of the HD would be connected to my Macbook. However when i do this now and I go to fire up the Mix Control it just says "No Hardware Found"...

I am totally dependent on my HD so this needs be be fixed...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
i have this as well and it runs great but the problem is probably the drivers, if you go to the focusrite website you can install it and they also probably have solutions to your or similar problems in their help section..
