I need help on how to raise the purple gain line in maximus/FL-limiter without making the beat louder just letting the signal pass. I have raised the ceiling in the limiter to +12db so I don't understand what is limiting it. When I watch the beat in the maximus screen I can see the kicks are not limited and hit over the purple line, but when I check in the limiter I see that the line is even, not hitting above that line = little distortion on the kicks

Anybody know how I could solve this?

problem was solved when I disabled a plugin... But don't know what it has to do with limiting

thread can be removed.. :topicclosed:

Not sure what you mean buuut... a hint: if you're gonna use the Fruity Limiter in a passive way, you might as well remove all of the attacktime in the Limiter-section, since it controls the plugin latency.
You can also do the same in Maximus by removing the Master attacktime and Master LMH Del (though you still have a hint latency left on this one).

Off topic I know, but you might as well know this if you're gonna use these plugins without any processing :)

It also depends on where you have the plugins arranged in the mix track, if maximus is 1. and Limiter is 2. then You wont see anything above the ceiling because the limiter is limiting out whatever the maximus may be letting through, same for vice versa.
