you need to assign the pads
peep this got this from a old thread copied and save it on my harddrive for in cause people want help
1. Ok so first, make sure you have your mpd24 connected before opening FL Studio.
2. Now open FL Studio and open up the FPC Channel. Drag some drums on the FPC pads just so that you can test them. Hit the pads. If you hear your no sound, then here is what you have to do.
3. Basically you have to set a preset on your mpd to work with the FPC Channel. So turn the knob on your mpd until you have like an empty preset to save this on.
4. One you've done that, Hold down PAD1 on your mpd and hit the "EDIT" button. When it says "NOTE" go ahead and hit the "ENTER" button. Now, you see that number that's blinking? Each pad has a number like this. You basically have to change every pads number with the list below so that it corresponds with every pad on the FPC channel.
So hit Pad, hit "EDIT", hit "ENTER", change number, hit "ENTER" again and then on to the next pad until you've done every pad. Here:
pad1 = 37
pad2 = 36
pad3 = 42
pad4 = 82
pad5 = 40
pad6 = 38
pad7 = 46
pad8 = 44
pad9 = 48
pad10 = 47
pad11 = 45
pad12 = 43
pad13 = 49
pad14 = 55
pad15 = 51
pad16 = 53
Hit a pad now to see if it works. It should work now.
Now after you've input every number you are NOT done. You now have to save that preset on your mpd so that every time you turn it on, you don't have to cofigure this whole thing again.
5. So hit the "PRESET" button, hit the ">" button and that'll bring up the Save display, hit "ENTER" to save and YOUR DONE! Enjoy.
Also if you want to control FL Studio's transport buttons (Play, Record, etc.) with your mpd then here's what you have to do.
1. Hit the "PLAY" button, hit "EDIT", hit "ENTER" to select "TRANSPORT", and turn the knob until it says "MMC". You save it to your preset, open FL, hit "PLAY" and it should work.
