FL studio FPC like an MPC + Preset.

i have a midi keyboard but 2 me its not really the same...i come up with more ideas with the sample on the mpd

it's really not. i got an oxygen49 keyboard. i'm prly about to get a mpd16 within the next month.

sounds like the midi keyboard sampling business is on the rise. ive had my MPK49 for a few months now and adding the FPC to the Akai pads really improves my sample-playing ability. i usually chop in edison and edit each "pad" sound so that they're perfect before dropping them into the FPC. i have not really found a use for slicex to be honest.

I find it easier just to use SliceX...unless I'm missing something..?

But the FPC handles velocity better and also, each pad can be routed to its own mixer track for extra mixing etc.

how do you route each pad to its own mixer channel? i always wondered how to do that

you click on the pad and then theres a litle thing that says out in the top tool bar and it starts out at just -- but you adjust it to what ever output you whant it to go to in you mixer, sory if this isnt very clear
