FL Studio 9 help with applying panning effect to track rather than channel

I was provided a single file with a bunch of sound effects for use in a track. I then loaded them into FL Studio and used the scalpel tool to cut the file up and arrange the sounds. Now though, I want to pan individual sounds to the right and left, but they are all part of the same channel (because they're all part of the same file still, just cut up). Is there any way around this? Can I convert each cut up sample into a channel, or can I just load all the effects with similar panning into a playlist track of their own and pan each track? I know I could just export a track, load it back in as a new channel, then pan it. Is there any other, less messy, way? Thanks.

Open up the piano roll for the file you cut up And then right click near the bottom left (below the piano). There's an option for note panning and an option for channel panning...hope this helps
