$Five (TNGHT-ish type track) - F4F

Hey guys,

This is the first track I've ever made like this. It's not really like a TNGHT track but it was closest thing I could think of. Anyway, I've never really used much sub-bass before so I'd like any tips you guys have on mixing that, as well as any other overall mixing tips. Let me know if liked it, hated it, or thought it was just mediocre. And leave me links to your stuff as well.

 
This was pretty cool. Some of my favorite tracks start off with a beat where you can't really tell where they're going, but then when everything kicks in it all makes sense and brings it all together. This one builds nicely and then at about 30 seconds it's like "awwwww yeahhhhh." haha. It gets a little repetitive, but that obviously wouldn't be the same if it got some lyrics or a sample just to keep it interesting. But you made a solid track out of an interesting sound.

sounds a lil off and missing something.. i don't really listen to tnght.. oh okay the snares finally come in but it only sounds good with the snares in .. when the snares leave again it sounds off.. i would def have the snares play throughtout.. Niceee. Can definitely hear the TNGHT influence in there. I kinda agree with cocaine audio about the snares, but it has a cool slightly disconcerting feel to it even without them. I think you could also put some big reverb on it, would be nice for sure.

Don't get me wrong though, it's a good beat!

This is cool! Like someone above mentioned, consider some change ups and variations, but you're on the right track fam!
