4. Masta Ace - critically acclaimed but very slept on
3. Tech N9ne - sickest flow in hip hop history
2. Blackchild - the reason Murder Inc got more cred than G-Unit
1. RA The Rugged Man - What Eminem should have been

Mystikal - A combination of James Brown and Michael Jackson......as a rapper.


Twista - People complain about not understanding a word he says, and never take the time to place in categories of great multi syllable rappers because of it. They are so overwhelmed with how fast he rap that they don't pay attention to the lyrical content. It's not fair.

Ball and MJG - They did what they said. They started this shit and they gone finish this shit. So next time you feel like biting these rappers today, refer back to their older style.....that's where they got it from and yeeneeen know it.

A.Z - A.Z's love for blackness is not good enough for Nas's type mainstream appeal. Yeah I said it............YOU CAN HATE ME NOW! A.Z need documentaries also. See what a little mainstream appeal will get ya? Be smart rappers....you will not be on a top 10 greatest list without it.

Common - Common had/has the potential to be in his own lane in hip hop history. As long as he doesn't sink deeper into the "now sound" and the "social media mindset" then he has that lane he deserves. He should be bigger than he is. And he is also proof of the ignorance and hatred of the United States.

I would add: Chino Xl, Kurupt, everybody on Suave House and Mr. Short Khop.

sd from chicago - not one of the greatest of all time or anything but life of a savage 3 was my favorite trap (they call in drill in chicago) release of 2013.

kevin gates - should be on top of the game IMO

neither of the these artists are underrated, just not as well known as they should be.

In my opinion to name a few slept on artists.

1. Logic (gaining popularity)
2. Immortal Technique (It's true his flow and ability to tell stories is unparalleled)
3. Kevin Gates (Has a unique voice and good flow)
4. Chance The Rapper (Such a unique style)
5. Common (A very clever rapper who had the respect and fame in the game at one point but isn't getting the play he used to)

BRING BACK LYRICAL RAP like Mos Def, Nas, and Jurassic 5
 
From modern rappers i'd say Ace Hood ( he is one of the few that don't rap only about money and hoes)
Old school rappers AZ , Mystikal , and Z-RO
