First beat of many posted, really hoping to hear opinions and feedback

stone medina's the name and this is the first time posting a beat in here. I usually don't care for the trap genre but I took a shot at this today and found myself having fun making it. It's honestly one easiest beats I've made using mostly clicking on fruity loops. Now I see how some people are raking in the dough on these style beats. Hoping for truthful feedback, I've been criticizing a lot of people's work on here without any work of my own to show lol so rip me to shreds if you can

Beat is not something for me, but I still would not call it trap, just really uptempo Hip Hop/Rap beat if you ask me. Production is fine, but not is enough progression to really be great in my opinion.

Sounds ok, its a bit repetitive.. definitely need to do something more too progress it and keep it interesting. As well as a bit more instrumentation just subtle things like removing the drums just before beat drops to break it up a bit.

I would definitely keep working on it, add some more elements to it. If you're going for the trap sound try a bass heavy 808, mix it with the kick so they are not masking each other freqs. Maybe some string stabs/swells. Id put a high freq synth lead on there during the chorus. In short: Not a bad foundation, but not a finished beat in my book! Keep on it

- I like the brass hits you used
- The drums could use alot of improvement -- i would probably choose a different kick or layer another kick with it to make it louder/fattter
- I agree it needs some bass/808s
- The track isn't really a trap beat in my opinion -- its just a different/alternative type of beat
- The snares should be more in your face
- Try some open hi hats and snare rolls
