I was trying to figure out how to find the key of a vocal sample in fl studio, so I can put the drums in the right key and play some chords. Hopefully someone can help me out. Thanks

Load it into Edison or Newtone. In Edison you can right click the region marker icon and select "pitch detect region". Newtone automatically detects pitch. It can also determine what key a series of notes is in or is close to. There is an option for this somewhere in the plugin.

Shouldn't you be able to find the key of a vocal sample by simply listening to it?

Not everyone with a DAW knows that aspect of music theory. We also don't have the sample to hear. It could be monotone or pitchy for all we know.

Thanks bro this helped a lot

drag a song into virtual dj and it gives you the bpm, seems pretty reliable when i can't figure it out by ear

He is askng for the key of the song, not the bpm, two different things.
