FINAL BATTLE ( Audio Technica AT3035 ) Vs. ( Rode NT-1A )

Yo what up peoples...

It's been broken down to this. I only got two bills to spend and I've made my final decisions.

(a) Audio Technica AT3035

(b) Rode NT-1A


What would best fit for me.

Speedy Hip Hop lyrics with a deep bass soundin voice.

Let the voting commence.
 
Oh well...

Since no one responded, I went with the AT3035. The sound is amazing. I wonder how the Rode would've sounded????

to be honest with choosing mics as close at those, there's very little that people can tell you that's useful. You just have to try them out & make a choice. Enjoy your new purchase, it's a good mic.

I got a 3035 myself. I love it! I even wrote a song about it:D Seriously, I did:D what type of music are you doing?
 
To Genetix...I'm from Hollywood CA.

And to the labrat, I'm hip hop and I'm lovin this mic as well. I just wanna hear some feedback from cats that used the RODE NT-1A and the Audio Technica AT3035. I'm so curious as to how the RODE might've sounded. Either way tho, I don't regret it at all.

Sorry I missed out

I too chose an AT-3035 over a Rode about a year ago. I rented and tested out both and could not get over how well the AT's picked up high frequencies. Stability is the king when AT is doing it right, trust me.

Great value and a great mic
 
depends what its being used for / the room in which its used / sibilance / ambience ..

there really is'nt much difference between the two apart from the rode nt1 has a knock of sounding to top endy (if thats a word ) if compressed badly ....has a wierd harmonic range that seems to mingle very well .

i think you made the right choice though

i asked the sweet water technician the same thing..

he said the AT3035 is a better buy

i went with the AT

i will be recieving it on thurs.
 
The worst conditions...

I work in some of the worst conditions to make music. I record in a real $#!tty dorm like room with no type of sound-proofing or anything. Even under those type of conditions, the vocals that I record comes out clear, clean and with almost no background noise (I use a limiter sometimes just in case). I'm no tech head but the feed back I've gotten from people about my recordings say they sound very good. Besides, if nothing else, it looks cool as hell:D

Yo Spittin' sweet water is a good spot to shop at. I got all of my gear there.
 
AT all day, used the 2020 for awhile and was very impressed, recently upgraded to a 4050 and it is definitely a great mic. And wow you definitely bumped a 6 yr old thread...
