First of all all thos bands you listed are trash, evanescence especially.

get some Dimmu Borgir, Behemoth, Cryptopsy, The Berzerker,Candiria, Atomship The Black Dahlia Murder, As I Lay Dying, Slavemachine, The Butterfly Effect, Burzum, The Agony Scene, Amon Amarth, Soilwork, Motorhead, Megadeth, Through The Eyes of The Dead, Morbid Angel, Bathory, Clawfinger, Borknagar, Dark Funeral, Deicide, Vomitory, Dying Fetus, Tristania, and Mastadon to start off with.

After Forever, Inkubus Sukkubus, Lacuna Coil, On Thorns I Lay, Within Temptation, Switchblade Symphony, Theatre of Tragedy, Xandria, Leave's Eyes, and Epica are bands evanescence wishes they were half as good as.

Stabbing Westward is a band you'll like if you like NiN, basically what happened is NiN was more marketable so noone focused on SW at the time now their **** gets played on the radio and everyone thinks it's new.

Cool tastes, don't agree with all of them though (As I Lay Dying is boring metalcore tripe, which I don't particularly consider metal). But that's cool.

Have you heard the new stuff from Dimmu Borgir? It's pretty awesome stuff. Sometimes I feel like I'm one of the few people who doesn't give this band crap for becoming popular and trying to make better music. It's good to see that this board is more diverse than just hip hop. ^_^

a lot of good bands listed in this thread, but whoever listed cannibal corpse, they are hillarious. i dont know about good music, but they can give you a good laugh with friends, a piano, and their lyrics to sing. I like this guy.

Giving an honest humble opinion here, but Slipknot are horrible. A band with nine members can do alot more than they do. Rage Against the Machine has alot of cool stuff, Godsmack has some stuff that I don't mind either. The others I haven't really heard much from. I'm back with a few more recommendations. Mostly melo-death bands and an eight piece folk metal band to mix it up.

Kalmah
Arsis
Mors Principium Est
Behemoth
Anorexia Nervosa
Limbonic Art
Crematory
Eluveitie (awesome folk-metal band)
