I found this little clip recently & it sounds as if duro n clue sampled the bassline for Fabolous's track, but in the album credits it isnt listed.

If any1 here could have a listen n let me know who the artist is i would be most greatfull!

(i've tried googling the songs lyrics & had no luck)
 
Yeah its a replay Gutta sorry i should have stated that, i was on mpc-tutor.com & some1 posted links 4 sample sites, i thought i might as well download a few of them & see what theyre sayin.

I was listenin & then i heard the song & it was buggin the hell out of me to figure out who had sampled it!
I was watching mtv base 2day & by chance the song came on & i was like DAMN! I quickly grabbed the album, read through the credits & thier werent nuttin thier other than duro n clue produced the track!
Its buggin me 2 find out who the original artist was or who the bass player was, coz Fab's version has got a 1980's Miami Summer Yacht Kinda vibe to it which im most deffinately feelin, i wonna find out what other stuff they done coz thier might be some other tight b-lines etc to replay / sample!
 
Yeah i always thought it had that 80's feel...crazy how they flipped the vibe

anyways i found the sample, i PMed u, cuz i wanna keep this exclusive just between me n u, so we dont have other people samplin this group n **** :cool:

after reading this and listening to the sample i decided to take it upon myself to do the research....i didnt get far are 3 hours of research i kno enough to say that the reason that u would not see the credits on the fabolous cd is because it was sampled from Tamias - So into you ( an early version of the song released in 1999)

when u find out where it originated let me kno...i think i earned the closure.

as for the commodores comment, it might be true
