Yeah like this - really excellent sampling. I'm just not certain that this sort of sample based piece needs slightly more 'organic' percussion as there is an inherent 'warmth' to the hook that the hi hats might be a bit too sterile to accompany - but that might just be me being old fashioned. Because the composition is relatively straight this would suit a clever lyrical flow. Nice work.

Thanks for taking the time to listen to it. I appreciate it. I'm happy with the way it turned out and would like to move on to another beat or I'll be stuck perfecting this beat forever. What would you suggest I do differently in the future? Thanks again for your input!
 
Nice beat the vibes right one thing i'll say is to try to add some dynamics every once in a while to grab back the attention to my ears. I'm a rookie too Good luck !!

Thanks for the feedback bro. I plan on adding drops once I get an MC to rip it up. Didn't wanna layer it too much more with additional sounds. Already got 30 or so tracks.

Trippy. I feel like if you pitched up the sample it would sound even better, but it still sounds good. I really liked the techy sounds too.
 
This is smooth. Feelin this vibe. The vocal sample fits great. To add some more variety to the mix, I would suggest adding a double timed kick and hihat after the first bridge to speed up the groove. I would also add an auto pan to the hihats to add some more space. It could be fun to chop up the vocal, pitch shift it, and microsample it throughout the track to add additional melody. Keep up the great work!
