Keef is signed under Interscope, and was given his own label GBE. Im assuming GBE is a subdivision, under Interscope. Now Keef is with Bricksquad 1017? What the **** is that? Is that just some hangout gang that Gucci made up, or is it a real label?

If it's a real label, how did Keef get Interscope to sign off on such a move? Even if it's independent, why would Interscope allow one of their artists to release music without their approval?

Rap labels seem like the biggest bullshit in any industry. Some guy gets signed to a major, gets his own label under the major, starts signing new rappers to his label, then the new rappers get their own labels under the first rapper's label. All the sudden some rapper has his own label, which is basically a sub-sub-sub-sub-sub label of a major label. This shit doesn't happen with any legitimate industry. It's like giving someone a fake business title, because you don't want to give them a raise. Oh, you're a project manager now, go answer the phone!

Interscope is like the schoolyard and brick squad is like the place one group of people would hang out.

Prince did it for years. Warner owned his name, so Prince changed it and kept it moving. Just because they own your name doesn't mean they can stop you from putting out music under a different one.

People get caught up in names and branding too much. Prince did the right thing by changing his name and making new music. He basically showed the world that brands in and of themselves do not matter. They can be destroyed. A new brand can be built.

that's kinda strange, i thought GBE was gonna blow up and he's kinda throwing it out the window getting with gucci like that.
