Everybody is complaining about FP but...

the most retarded threads get the most views, why is that?

Why do people lurk those threads and then complain?

Can people not stop watching those threads?

Who are these people with no links that like to call everybody on FP that does have music wack, amateurs, etc? Where do they come from? Why are they here?

Why do people feel the need to quote people when they really have nothing to say in the first place?

I'm trying to understand human nature, not trying to start anything. I'd appreciate no flames thrown at me... but if you want to, have fun. I will no longer entertain your futile attempts to get e-cred.

Discuss, the most retarded threads hit 1,000 plus views. Why? Maybe we'll learn something.

I guess this has nothing to do with music but feel free to make a comment as long as it's open.

Also, you shouldn't hold grudges against people you will never meet or know, just a lil wisdom to help out blood pressure. Sometimes the people probably don't feel as strongly as you do about whatever it is you feel strongly about. Read message boards like you would Yahoo! or CNN... it's just a bunch of different opinions from random people in cyberspace... remember that.

Also, this thread is doomed from the jump. Watch.

I agree with you man. So many people are complaining that FP has gone to ish... but those threads are what caused it in the first place. Makes no sense. Instead of telling everyone that you hate FP, why don't you:

1. Not come on FP
2. If you are on FP, post something worth reading.
 
Most of the time, I am in the Recording, Mixing, Mastering forum......

That's my suggestion / advice.

Make some threads about something instead of complaining about the threads that aren't about anything... and people will probably post in the threads that are about something.

Retarded threads get 40 viewers in under 15 minutes and the people don't leave, lol.

WHEN THEY KNOW THE THREAD ISN'T ABOUT ANYTHING IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Just discussion, tis all.

Lol that's just how it is. I think that people are bored and they want to start something. Some people who are just starting out might be scared to post serious questions because they are scared of getting flamed for noooooo reason. It's just how people are. The dumb threads get views because people want to know "WTF is this guy trolling about"... and when they find out, they say something, and then someone else comes in and starts fighting with the next guys opinions lol.

I just laugh. I can't lie though... some of this stuff is funny as hell.

I guess nobody has any comments... just complaints, even though they participate in those threads when they feel like it.

in general...people are in denial about themselves...they would like to think they have this lofty mindstate that's above the fray but the reality is we all slow down when there's an accident on the other side of the highway....we look at racing to see a crash...hockey to see a fight...etc etc....

the human animal loves drama...it is what it is....
 
I think its alot of things.

1) I think people love drama of all sorts, as evidenced by TV. So I think drama draws people in. That's why if there's a thread dissin Troup, ppl flock to it to see wsup.

2) Everyone's a critic. Everyone has a right to be a critic but I think in the anonymity of the internet makes it easier to insult than critique. And especially on this site, if ur a producer, take the position of a producer rather than a fan. A fan can say u suck at producing and he's not a part of the game. But if ur a ball player n u say sumone sucks, u better take him one on one then. So if ur a producer insultin ppl on here, be ready to have ur tracks picked out.

3) I really do believe ppl subconsciously enjoy complaining alot more than giving positive feedback or doing something positive. You have a bad boss, its so easy to complain him everyday. You got a good boss, you only mention it if people ask if u like ur work and how ur boss is. Maybe its venting but alot of ppl dont perceive each other as "friends" here so its not always taken lightly.

I don't know man. Ppl are just stupid, in general.

This is very true. It can't be helped. We all, in the back of our minds, love it when sh*t hits the fan, but once it does, no one does anything about it. I've only seen Deranged say something like "Let's all laugh guys it's just the net"... everyone else says something like "yo why you catching feelingz ova tha net for man..."
 
FP is no longer a place where producers come to learn. FP is the place where 'people', not producers, come for comedy relief. The underlining fact is, FutureProducers.com is no longer ran by real producers, but by teenage hobbists whom have no intentions on moving forward in this industry.

These are the reasons why 'retarded' threads, such as "Soulja Boy is Gay", get so much attention. The lack of teachers willing to teach and students willing to learn is why FP is no longer relevant.

I would love to teach, but I'm not that good yet. That's why I post in forums like "Top tips that have helped you become a better producer" and I've posted some of my knowledge in the Theory section of this forum. It is true that there isn't as much knowledge dropping as there used to be. I learned almost everything I know from this site. I started making beats late 2006 and I joined this site JAN 2007... back then, everyday I learned something new because of what people were posting... now I can only rely on the search function... I dunno if that's sad or not though...

I don't know why I'm ranting all of a sudden.

Good point, Jerry was beating Oprah at one point and now Dr. Phil is all train wreck stories.

We pretty much summed everything up. Guess I'll find a train wreck thread.

I guess the next question is why do people keep trying to single out the same people? Don't answer that if you don't want to put energy into it. It's just amazing though... how a few people on FP invoke emotions into people for some reason.

Good stuff guys, I think I understand now. Panny Fresh will always be king then.

Which is what I alluded to in my thread in here...

I stated there was almost 300 people in this FORUM compared to an equal # in the Technique section ALTOGETHER...

THAT is pretty sad.... because nobody on here is that polished to the point where they dont need any improvement (for the most part) and it shows that they are more concerned with emulating...

well, if you are going to emulate... Do it WELL at least.

I think I probably need to take a FP break or something, lol.

I normally used to come here because it was a hub of all the Hip Hop news in one spot. Now everybody has their own thread about how THEY are the best... and if they don't have their own thread, they're in some thread telling everybody how much their music sucks, how everybody sounds the same.


I'm like RA though, I don't have enough industry experience to teach anybody anything about the biz... but some stuff I know from just hearing and watching, so that's what I post.


I guess it shouldn't matter anyway at the end of the day.
