Everybody Give Your Music Confessions...

I'm a 90's baby. 1992 to be more exact. Most of the music i've heard in my life has been from after 2000. But there's music from the 90's i love. Most DMX albums, Eminem, some Tupac, Dr Dre, Cassidy i think. But one of my favourite songs from all time is True by Spandau Ballet.

My Dad brought it in a box full from sowhere. I remember when i was 5 or 6 years old i'd play it on repeat on the cassette player most days. Dance or spaz out like most kids do and sing along with it. The music's nice and along with the bridge i think was one of my favourite things. I think the music on there is the first song i liked. The instruments, harmonies and slow strings.

That along with Sex Bomb (remember i was 5 and didn't know what it meant) were the two songs that got me into music.

Not trying to generalize all music. But as far as hip hop/R&B goes...the 90's kill the 00's. The classic albums from that decade probably doubles or even triples the amount from the current one.

Confession:

Mad Lib is the wackest producer you know. I tried once really hard to see something good in his music... and it made me feel akward that I didn't hear what other people heard...

Dilla too...

that awkward (you mispelled it by the way) feeling you were experiencing when listening to Madlib is..........

stupidity.

Rome, please listen to Talib Kweli's "Soon The New Day" from the Eardrum album. Madlib at his best (by far).

lol, I mispelled it. I'm so embarrassed I think I'll leave and come back with a new account...

See this is what I'm talking about... stupid comments for no reason. Did I say anything about Scabx or did I talk about Madlib? Scabx decided to attack ol Romey Rome because he got offended by it, lol. Like a real track stompin' ho.

Dude got a man crush on Madlib so hard that he should change his screen name from Scabx to Deep Throat.

I don't think one or a few songs will change my mind.

He had a whole CD of just beats on iTunes when I listened... man they were horrible, lol.

It's like those people that listen to something weird and try to make up reasons why it's good and the rest of the people just don't understand. I'm one of the people that doesn't understand and I'm okay with that.

Madlib's beat cd's are HORRIBLE. I've heard them. I'm not a big fan of his production but please just listen to that Talib song. Its an amazing song.

i love madlib's beat cds. i know i'll sound like a condescending buttmunch (yes buttmunch) but you probably just don't understand it. i'm not sayin it like "your too dumb to get this, it's next level" it's just not for everyone. just like i don't understand why people like beats with cheesy overdramatic synth horns and rolling 808s. i honestly enjoy madlibs stuff, i used to get that "you just like it cus it's different" thing all the time from people.

oh and confession i like pillz by gucci mane, it's funkeefresh.

Oh... I based my entire opinion of him off of that beat cd... I'll check out the song this weekend.

I use to like jump by van halen if I heard the song right now I would probably bob my head to it.

I watched 10 minutes of a show last week with two guys playing banjos and singing folk music.

I have a desire to go a symphony orchestra and hear how strings are supposed to sound.

It would be cool to cut the rug up but I have two left feet. Last time I was at a club the lady I was dancing with bought me a drink; because she said I was too stiff.

I use to like the song don't worry be happy it's sad that the guy that sang the song committed suicide.

Are you insane?? Bobby McFerrin ain't committed no damn suicide. He's still huge on the jazz circuit.

And you should go to the symphony. It's an emotional experience. POWERFUL music.

Somebody told he did awhile back I never checked into it to confirm the story.

Death Metal is my second favorite genre next to rap/hiphop.

Eminem is the reason I started listening to rap.

Money and potential recognition are my main motivators as far as making music.

I think Gucci Mane is literally retarded.

I actually found a Soulja Boy song I like...hehe

I listen to Classical music every night before falling asleep.

I think metal concerts are more enjoyable and stimulating than rap concerts.

Although I find it helpful at times, I really don't take this site and 60% of its members seriously at all...

My confessions..

If you want to hear some dope Madlib stuff, listen to Madvillain and Dudley Perkins' album that he produced (Misled is my favorite song on there).

Beat Konducta is dope to me, but I could see why some don't like it lol.

I pretty much know every N'Sync, Britney Spears, & Backstreet Boys song.. but I'm sure I'm not the only one... :looks around:

I didn't start LISNing to Brit-Brit until she started workin with Danja, and the same goes for JT. I didin't pay barely any attention to him until he started workin with Timbo. That's how I started getting into Pop
:sing:

What's just happened to that "Tap that" thread? I tried going on it and it said i don't have sufficient access or privileges or something. Then i refreshed the page and it was gone. Did the mods delete it? I thought they only closed them down if things got out of hand.
