sup yall ?!

I wanna start djing, and dont hve the $ for used tedh's let alone new 1z... :)

I ahve narrowed down my table choice to either numark tt200"s..or the gemini xl5oo.

I wanna spin hiphop and scratch. And unfortunetely..alot of the stereo shops here carry only belt drives or gemsounds. Any input on the xl500 would be nice.
anyway..i was also lookin into gettin a umx 5 or 7 (gemini) after searchin the forums. They seem bang for the buck. BUT THE PROBLEM IS....I CANT FIND ONE...so if u know of any similar mixer...and where to find it please let me know...PEace :monkey:

WHAT IS GEMSOUND????

I´m pretty sure the tt 200 is better than gemini 500 XL; so go for the numark

I guess you heard of the advice to buy used techs from ebay

yes, the mixer-
if you can´t find gemini umx 5 or 7
then
- vestax 06 pro: probably better than the gemini, on sale right now
- tascam XS-8 (which is in fact the discontinued HAK 320, very good); I think there is also a XS-4 (which is a HAK 300 - I think, not sure about that)
- there is a new budget scratch mixer by stanton, the SA-3, it should be ok
- watch ebay for rane 52 or 54

The TT200's are one of the most solid turntables on the market. They are great because they are also priced very well. Gemini, and the products they put out are all horrible. You can't go wrong with the 200's. there is no way.

don't get a gemini mixer either. Right now, there are really good deals at guitar center for the tascam mixers. they are great mixers for battling/scratching. if you want to mix, then there are many mixers to choose from. The mixer you need depends on what you will use the TT's for
