event TR6 or Alesis M1 active MKII

i know this kind of discussion has been posted several times..but after searching and searching i'm still undecided on wich pair to get.
I'm about to get a behringer mixer and a pair of one this monitors.
I've read a lot of good and a few bad things about this two..
I know the event ones have a great quality sound with a super flat response and the alesis also a super sound with a great bass.
I would really like to hear your opinions on this because im really "confused" on wich ones to get.

go to the store with a cd that you are very familiar with and is similar to what you intend to create musically. listen to both models, and decide which you prefer.
 
i tried to do that but where i live the stores have very few models in exibition..sO i really have to order them from another place. That's why im "confused" lol

The midrange in the Alesis monitors is, in my opinion, compromised on their current actives.

The TR6n represents a flatter response for the same money, in my opinion. They don't have the "bumped-up" bass of the Alesis, but they sound more accurate.

Another option, if you have it available, is the KRK Rokit monitors. I've got the RP5s and love 'em (and got them after months of comparing Event, Alesis, M-Audio, etc.)
