I posted this under computers a week or so ago with no luck so I try again here.

"I have an older set of EMU Systems Samples in an 8 Volume Sound Library set.

I was hoping to be able to use them in Logic Pro but when I place the CD Rom in my Mac pro it cannot open the disc.

Any solutions for making these usable?

Is there some software out there that my Mac can use to open these CDs?

Guides to workflow once they are opened will also be appreciated.

Thanks!

The idea is to create an image of 'disk2s0' and work from that, because there is no way you can simply just open the CD from the drive.

Edit: Remembering that Kontact imports a lot of sample formats I dug up an old post (2005) on the NI forum and it said they click ignore and by updating the Kontakt browser view they can import.

Thanks
I have no idea how to do what you are suggesting - can you explain further?

See my post above.

I think first you have to make sure you have software that can import/convert the Emu format.

I'm pretty sure EXS24 imports the E-MU formats just fine.
