The weird thing about Dre's production on this album is that, the first time I listened to the album, I though "none of these beats stood out to me AT ALL" and I wasn't impressed. However, the more I listened to it, the more I built relationships with certain beats/sounds, and the more I listen, the more I get hooked.

Yeah...ALL of his beats have had that effect to me...from "The Chronic" all the way up to now. Honestly, the first time I heard "2001" I was like "Meh," but after listen number 3, I was like, "WHOA..."

lol by far his worse music production. Some of it honestly sounds experimental which isnt bad but when 95% of it is, that's just playing with fire. I love Dre and the things he has done but some of this music really isnt even music. The gangja beat sucks my balls. As of currently. I would rather listen to Trent Reznor production over Dre. I'm starting to think detox might be a flop...

LMAO, I don't like that beat either.

The best beat on the album is Bagpipes From Baghdad IMO. That crazy synth (synthesized bagpipes probably) reminds me of that good old West Coast sound.

Ya...if I had to pick 2 songs, it would be 3AM and Bagpipes from bagdad all the way. It seems like this album just has no direction...you know what I mean?

Terrible album. Mediocre beats and try-hard rapping. I'm sorry, but this isn't even on-par with the production on most top 5 hits these days. Did it even reach top 10?

3AM: badass piano and i like the hit on every bar

Bagpipes from Baghdad: i really dig this beat the, sine-like middle eastern synth, and the strings every 2 bars

Insane: beat's tight, the strings and the drum rolls

My Mom: i like how the brass is used before snare

Deja Vu: beats good, the guitar

Medicine Ball: the best drums

X3...this album is just poop, other than "3 AM" & "Stay Wide Awake" this album is trash. Not a single track on here makes me go :bigeyes: There's no "Superman", When I'm Gone", "Kim", "Stan", "Sing For The Moment"...just a buncha garbo. Maybe he needs to go back to blonde??
