Edison - Fl Studio

I am having a problem with edison when i have the part in red that i want to sample i then go to the button on the very right that says drag,Copysample,Selection.

But it will not let me drag to the instead I get like a stop sign type of symbol

What am i doing wrong ?
 
Hm, never encountered this before honestly.

So, you're highlighting a part of a clip that you want to crop out. Make sure you have either an empty Sampler channel (for a short clip) or an Audio Clip channel (for an extended/long clip) loaded. Then, make sure the part you want to crop out is highlighted, and drag & drop into that designated new channel you created.

nope, it wont let me drag at all. i tried emptying it out like u said, but no difference, it still gives me the stop sign symbol
thanks for ur response, any more ideas???
 
I know this post was old but did you ever figure it out because i'm having the same problems.
