Edirol Orchestra?

With the instrumetns that it has, (Trumpet, Cello, timpanis and so one) I have never in my life heard a better software set. All 3 of the Edirol HQ Sets are worth the money, especially the Super Quartet. Also, I still have yet to hear a higher level of seemlessly intergrated high quality GM in sofware form than from the Hyper Canvas. IT's just beautiful. And if you have the finances, I recomend getting all three. These together (granted on a good computer) are the COMPLETE natural instrument sound library.

one thing though, I dont 'like any of their saxophones :p
 
The Orchestral an Hypercanvas are indeed worth the money..They are second only The Spectronics Vsti's....However they will sound better in Steinberg Products..
 
Edirol soft sound modules have a whole lot of their sounds derrived from Roland sound modules.

Edirol/Roland/Boss are pretty much the same company with slightly different market segments.

I am not sure where the Orchestral soundset comes from, but the Super Quartet drums kits are very much alike the sounds in the Dynamic Drums expansion and other stock XV kits. The Hypercanvas soundset is slightly lower quality than GM2 sounds on Roland sound modules but it's still decent. I believe many of the Hypercanvas sounds were made specifically for that soft synth.

The orchestral virtual instrument is pretty good for a soft synth and good period.
