life is good

someone remind me to send that guy a christmas card this year, he earned it :D

WOW!!! sounds good to me  Ecler is the greatest mixer and very inexensive.

I have another question:

Are the EQ and effects monitorable through the CUE? They aren't on the Xone:62 and that kinda feels like a deal breaker.

Also, does anyone have a USD retail price for one of these beauties?

Thanks,
Evan

yes, the EQ's are heard thru the CUE.

There is also an FX CUE button, so you can hear the FX in your headphones as well ;)

I dunno USD retail price, but I'm guessing it will be between $800-1000 USD. You can check with the US distributor.

For comparison, the Canadian retail price is $1399.95 CAD, I know that www.djmr.com is selling it for something like $1269.00 CAD, which translates to something like $925 USD I think.

Thanks for the info about the cue. That pretty much seals the deal for me. No longer a pio man will I be. Nuo 5 me, please.

Now I need to figure out if I should wait until they hit the US market or buy canadian.

Any word on the US release for the Nuo5? I'm camped out in the Middle East, to return early August, and that was gonna be my first purchase back home.. but I haven't seen any concrete price or release date.

Anyone..?

Thanks,
R.

JonnyThrice, have you heard anything about the release of the antoine clamaran limited edition version? and if so, maybe you have some info about it's u.s. release. any info on that version would be appreciated

God that is a sexy mixer. Wasn't there a silver version of that mixer?

i think that the silver one was the antoine clamaran limited edition version. there was a link of it on www.denondjforums.com but the site is down at the moment and i cannot póst it.

I'm not entirely sure what company it was, but, it looked similiar. SOmeone had a thread about it and someone replied "whats not to like?"

sexy lookin' mixer! i'll stick with my Empath, thanks, but as 12" mixers go, that looks like the best on the market! and the FX system sounds truly revolutionary.

hey man long time no see

what's up?

you ever get any of your projects pressed?

mehhh, sorta. Groovereactor Records released one of my tracks last year on a comp (Underground Sounds Vol 1, www.groovereactor.com) and another is coming out on their second Underground Sounds comp, which I actually A&R'd and compiled. However, thanks to the ....e state of the midwestern EDM scene, money is very tight and the pressing will be limited to a run of CD's.

also, Demulcent Records out of germany is putting out one of my remixes as part of the Prophetica Rmxd project. Prophetica is a trance artist whose new album, "Walkaway" was just released. I remixed the lead single off the album, which will be on the "Prophetica RMXD" album which comes out this week. for more info: http://www.demulcent.com/

unfortunately, I have not gotten anything on wax yet. I've never been able to prove to myself that i'd make any money back on that investment, so as much as I've wanted to do that over the last 2 years, it hasn't happened yet. However, i'm on my way out to NYC this fall, so hopefully my career will continue to improve!

the Antoine Claraman Edition was a one-off built specifically for him by ECLER (he is affiliated with ECLER).

The only difference is the colour of the mixer. Antoine has also made his own personal modifcations to his FX thru the edi:lab software (which any NUO owner can do with the included software) ;)

Nice review, If i would have seen it 3 month ago i might have bought the ecler. the price is nice. I bought a xone 92 and i like it very much. big price difference. but now i dont think i will be changing from A&H mixers any time soon. thanks!
