Dubstep kick drums?

Do you sometimes refrain yourself from using big kick drums like dubstep and such into your productions? Do you worry if you do it then it wont feel like your music is hip hop then? What's your view on EDM drums into hiphop beats?

What if you produce dubstep, but don't use dubstep kicks? Just kidding!

I don't think the simple use of a "dubstep kick" won't take away the hip-hop characteristics of the song, as the kick alone don't make a song, you know?

I like using a bottom end kick with lots of boom and not a lot of thud and with a thump... makes for a great all around kick
