(AllHipHop News) Drake’s highly anticipated album Thank Me Later has been leaked on the Internet in its entirety almost two weeks before landing in stores. Tracks like “The Resistance,” “Up All Night” featuring Nicki Minaj and “Show Me a Goodtime” (produced by Kanye West) are currently being traded on the Internet. Drake responded to the issue today (June 2nd) via Twitter and implied the leak didn’t seem to bother him. “I gave away free music for years so we're good over here,” Drake tweeted. “Just allow it to be the soundtrack to your summer and ENJOY!” Thank Me Later officially lands in stores on June 15th.

I like every song but "Over". I think alot of people expected drakes album to be similar to a Kanye album. or full of trap beats

It's 2010, and music is free. There's no real way to protect it.

I'm surprised it leaked this soon, but they had to get a head start on production, because this is gonna be one of the biggest sellers in a long time.


As far as music leaking, it's promotion. I'm gonna hand deliver the CD I'm working on to the Bootleg Man, so he can promote the hell out of it...

I'll make money off radio plays, show tickets, merch, licensing, etc.

100%, the days of make money off of CD sales are long gone.... and bootleg's are a great way to get new music out there
 
i gotta co-sign and say this shit is hella soft like baby boo boo. its a emo rap cd! and no i didnt expect trap beats and shit like that but the stupid azz label heads are gonna start pushing this soft ass sound on people and watch how all the rap artists start turning into these hybrid emo ass rappers, thats why I dont like the cd. every rapper is finna hop all over this style's dick and all these fools gonna start producing songs with hella pads and soft drums. i just see the game getting weak because people are gonna copy this wack ass albums format.


it sounds like a male Sade CD, it sounds like a KBLX 103.3 Quiet Storm late nite cd, this shit is wack...

^^^ lol, i pray not! i make all kinda stuff, but you know exactly what I mean when I say that folks will start hopping on this super soft style because they think that its gonna sell for them and that just sucks ass. wait till you hear the album, your gonna see what i mean, its a super soft sounding album

thats what got me really calling it a Sade cd, listen to all the soft pad laid back tracks, #1,2,3,8,9,12,13,14 are all in the same vein. the other tracks are barely "harder" sounding as far as the overall beat and tone of voice. Its a male Miss-E-Misdimeanor album, a male Aaliyah album, a rapping Trey Songz album, what other comparisons do yall want? lol :rofl:
 
I read an interview that Sade was one of his favorite singers and he even tried to snatch her up for a collab on his album,but she declined because she doesn't like collabs.

That's what I was thinking, It sounds more like a R&B CD than a rap CD.

Karaoke dose sound like some Sade shit.

His mixtape was 100x better than this shit.

I most say, I do have a feeling that tons of Soccer Mom will buy this shit. The kind that drive 50k SUV, and think off-roading is when they park on the grass at their kids games.
 
and if anybody thinks im hating and im some ole hip hop boom bap dusty kicks loving dude or trap beat loving dude, im not. I like all music and i like drake but damn, this album is super soft sounding and its a tribute album to Sade's style. This is not that "next" shit, this is an easy listening album, this does not make me want to step my game up. i hella wanted this album to be super but damn lol, he delivered a really light-as-a-feather album
 
I don't know why the whole thing is soft because the masses liked that hard shit he was doin.
 
I remember when he performed at my school last month he was super soft too! He did a lot of singing (not really good live) and a lot of people were not feeling it, even the females. IDK numbers might be lower than expected especially with the leak.
 
Dis is just like wayne wit da carter 3 it leaked a weak before release and they had a whole new album next week sells a million.It's Promotion
